Our research covers three main themes:

1. Structure/function relationship of the photosynthetic apparatus :
             - structure and organisation of membrane polypeptides
             - electron transport in the photosynthetic membrane
             - absorption and emission spectroscopy in photosystems I and II

             - thermal dissipation
             - ionic and molecular interaction in photosynthetic membrane

    2.   Environmental stresses:

                    - photoinhibition and photoprotection

                    - effect of high temperatures on the photosystems

                    - mode of action of heavy metals

    3.    Biosensors and photobiotechnology:

                    - biosensors of aquatic phytotoxicity

                    - photodetection of heavy metals, herbicides and polychlorinated derivatives

                    - immobilised systems

                    - photoelectrochemistry
